4 We will not hide these truths from our children but will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the LORD. We will tell of his power and the mighty miracles he did.
5 For he issued his decree to Jacob; he gave his law to Israel. He commanded our ancestors to teach them to their children,
6 so the next generation might know them--even the children not yet born--
that they in turn might teach their children.
7 So each generation can set its hope anew on God, remembering his glorious miracles and obeying his commands.

Children are to be disciplined
Prov 13:24 If you refuse to discipline your children, it proves you don’t love them; if you love your children, you will be prompt to discipline them. NLT
Prov 19:18 Discipline your children while there is hope. If you don’t, you will ruin their lives. NLT
Prov 23:13-16 Don’t fail to correct your children. They won’t die if you spank them. 14 Physical discipline may well save them from death.
15 My child, how I will rejoice if you become wise. 16 Yes, my heart will thrill when you speak what is right and just.
Prov 29:17 Discipline your children, and they will give you happiness and peace of mind.
Prov 29:15 To discipline and reprimand a child produces wisdom, but a mother is disgraced by an undisciplined child. NLT
All this protection, love, praise and discipline to our children is a gift wrap.to makes them presentable to God. They now are ready to be given back to the Lord. Maybe a girl to a husband, maybe they will follow a calling in Christian service in a far away place. But we are preparing our children to be able to leave our home equipped, settled and trained in the things of God. Change agents of society not victims of society.

- Stewardship Involves a Commitment
- To Godly Parenting in Example – The father says, "You better get ready. The bus will be here in a minute to pick you up and take you to Sunday School."
The Boy asked, "Did you go to Sunday School when you were a boy?" The father replied, "Yes I did."
The boy said as he was getting dressed, "It probably won’t do me any good either!"

Conclusion: Return to Sender
The sun and moon in Scripture often represent times and seasons.
It will come about after this that I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; and your sons and daughters prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on the male and female servants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. I will display wonders in the sky and on the earth, blood, fire, and columns of smoke, The sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the great and awesome day of the Lord. And it will come about that whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be delivered… (Joel 2:28-32a)
Wow! Jesus rebuked them for being able to figure out the weather and not the signs of the times! This was written over 2000 years ago, and even with all the technology we have today, we still joke about the inaccuracy of weather forecasters. Jesus rebukes them because their weather forecast were better than their prophetic forecast.
